After graduating from high school in Oak Park, MI, Robert G. Schwartz M.D., decided to continue his education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he majored in zoology. In honor of his past academic excellence, Dr. Robert Schwartz of Greenville, S.C. was awarded the Regent's Scholarship. He was also recognized with the Branstrom Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. He graduated from the University of Michigan with high distinction.  While in college he volunteered at University hospital and embarked upon his holistic approach to health care by taking a diverse selection of courses ranging from nutrition to hospital administration.
